Scope

What is listed here

AI Challenge Portal is built on open-source software. This page lists the components that run in your browser when you use the student portal or the admin portal, together with the license each is used under and the copyright holder. Components that run only on our servers are not listed, because no copy of them is delivered to you.

Each entry names the version currently shipped. The license texts themselves are linked at the bottom of the page.

Student portal

Components in the student portal

The student portal is a WebAssembly application, so its entire framework is downloaded and run by your browser.

Admin portal

Components in the admin portal

The admin portal renders on the server, so only its interface library, its client script and its fonts are delivered to your browser.

Educational standards

Standards frameworks shown in the portal

Challenge templates can be aligned to learning standards and assessment targets from the frameworks below. The portal stores only each standard's code, a short description and a link to the publisher's own page. Where the licence permits reuse with attribution (the Australian Curriculum, the national curriculum in England, the UNESCO and OECD/European Commission AI frameworks) the description is the official wording, shortened where it is longer than 80 characters; for every other framework it is written in our own words and does not reproduce the published text. For the assessments it stores the claim, target and domain structure with our own short labels, never test items or specification text. These are the notices the publishers require, shown exactly as the portal shows them beside a standard. The ISTE Standards for Students, the CASEL framework and the AI4K12 Five Big Ideas in AI are not available yet, pending permission from their publishers.
